Safari Camp in the Heart of Olifants West

Sausage Tree Safari Camp lies within Olifants West Nature Reserve, a private wilderness in the heart of the Greater Kruger National Park ecosystem.

Here, there are no fences between Olifants West and Kruger National Park, allowing wildlife to move freely across this vast, natural landscape just as it always has. From the banks of the Olifants River and its riverine forests to ancient rocky koppies, open plains and distant mountains, every game drive reveals a different face of the bush.

The reserve spans around 8,900 hectares in total; our private traversing area covers almost 4,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, where encounters with elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino are wild, unpredictable and entirely authentic.

And because this is a private reserve, your safari is wonderfully unhurried. Fewer vehicles, quieter roads and more space to experience the bush at its most magical.
