A day of immersion, close to home
Nourish is a Not for Profit Organization registered with the Department of Social Development in South Africa, based in the rural villages of Mpumalanga. The half-day tour is a walking immersion through Sigagule village with a local guide — Shangaan culture, folklore, traditional mat weaving, the Sangoma, homemade peanut butter and fresh artisanal beer. Finish with a local meal on a weaving mat at the Sangoma's house. The alternative day tour walks you through the Nourish Eco Village itself: mornings at the crèche, harvest at the farm, a traditional lunch cooked with the grannies. Proceeds from either tour support six households and the village crèche.
