Game Drives

Twice daily — sunrise and late afternoon — open-vehicle drives with Themba leading the guiding team. Sundowner stops in the bush; the option of a night drive on request.

Bush Walks

Three-hour guided walks at the slower, closer-grained pace the bush rewards. FGASA-qualified guides; small groups; everything from track-reading to bird-calling.

Photographic Workshops

Dedicated photographic vehicles, golden-hour timing, expert guidance tuned to the species and light you came for. Suitable for serious enthusiasts and curious beginners.

Hot Air Ballooning

Sunrise lift-off over the Drakensberg foothills, an hour aloft, champagne breakfast on landing. Subject to weather and seasonal availability.

Microlight Flights

A different way to see the reserve and the panoramic route — open-cockpit flights over the river systems and koppies of the lowveld.

Daktari Bush School

Visit the conservation-education and wildlife-orphanage programme we have supported since the camp opened. R50 from every booking contributes to Daktari year-round.

Panoramic Route

A full-day excursion through the Drakensberg escarpment — Blyde River Canyon, the Three Rondavels, God’s Window, the potholes at Bourke’s Luck.

Moholoholo Rehab

A half-day tour of the wildlife rehabilitation centre on the reserve’s western edge — meet rescued raptors, big cats, and other species in long-term care.

Spa Treatments

In-camp spa treatments — massage, facial, the small things that turn an afternoon between game drives into proper time off.

Camp-Based Activities

For the slower days — pool, deck, library, bird-watching from the deck. The camp itself is the activity when the bush quietens at midday.
